πΏππ©° IN THEIR CART FT. BEC π©°ππΏ
Miu Miu ballet flats, USBs, and so much more.
Itβs the first week of August and Iβm sensing fall in the air. Okay, maybe a little premature. But this week, weβre diving into Bec Adamsβ cart. Bec is an LA-based, Australian-born founder of Les Filles, a female-led music agency, whose global perspective and instinctive ear for sound were shaped by a musically rich upbringing, a law school background, and years spent moving between New York's underground and institutional scenes; through Les Filles she has built a worldwide network of female DJs and artists, curating lineups and creating career opportunities that push nightlife and music culture toward greater inclusivity, while her own DJ work spans Vogue World, Chanel, the CFDA and Business of Fashion Awards, MoMA, YSL, and tours with artists like Beck and Phoenix, and she is now expanding into film and television scoring and brand sound strategy, cementing her role as a cultural tastemaker beyond the dancefloor. Letβs get into itβ¦
Miu Miu Ballet Flats: Every time I go to buy a new pair, I sit and ponder what color I want to feel on my feet this Summer between soy green and ice - and then I get taken away in other thoughts, only to remember at times like these I still do not have them on my feet!
Brian Eno oblique strategies. At Les Filles we give these cards to special friends and clients of ours. I cherish them so much as a way insight into your thinking and axis thought processes etc :) They are amazing for creative spiking. They are now such a collectorβs edition that I constantly search far and wide for different editions to gift.
USBs: Constantly I am stock piling on these, as I am definitely that person who needs to have a back up USB handy at all times, in case of forgetting to bring one to a set.
Kodak Film: I just got a really cool new fancy vintage camera from Japan for Christmas, and I am always finding and stocking film so that I never run out of memory taking abilities. There is something so pure about pulling out a film camera, versus an iphone. There is real joy behind the lens when itβs developed, versus some fear sometimes ha.
A runners watch: I have been training for the half marathon with Nike (Nike after dark tour LA) that is in October. Les Filles curated the music for the event last year, and I challenged myself to be in the actual race. I am starting to get serious, and cannot work out the level of how serious I take myself with which watch to get.
Gua sha: I am addicted to my gua sha and buying all different shapes and sizes. It is such a soothing experience. Or any new infrared red light thing someone at goop or nasa technology is telling me I need.
Cooking books: I canβt work out what chef I am going to become this fall. Itβs a real running debate inside my household. Currently leaning toward being a pizza enthusiast!
Birthday cards: I collect them from all over, I love to give my friends strange and fun ones, but i can never pre-plan this well with my work weeks, so I like to keep a stockpile in hand at all time. I have about 18 ready to buy in my Etsy cart.
