At the first glimpse of sun, summer is all I can think about. I love the part of summer when it’s so hot and humid that a skimpy outfit is the only bearable option. A swimsuit under a sheer dress or skirt is a personal favorite look of mine, and I plan to live in microshorts as soon as the weather permits. Microshorts that double as swimwear? That’s just called being practical.
Merrell Moab 2 Slide in Mole
The only reason these aren’t on my feet right now is that they’re sold out in my size. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect slip-on mule or clog forever, and after so many failed attempts, I thought I’d found the one. My eBay watchlist has seen a few pairs of woven leather clogs before, but nothing felt right until I saw these. I love Merrell and love a Vibram sole — a real match made in heaven. RIP size 38.
Teeth ring
I wrote about this ring recently on a Valentine’s Day gift guide because there’s nothing more romantic than giving your partner your own teeth (right?). My partner and I both still have our wisdom teeth, but rest assured, I will be turning them into rings when the day arrives.
Ray-Ban Wayfarer Classics
Where the hell did my pair from high school go? I shudder to think about all the great pieces that have been lost to the sands of time (aka moving around the country nonstop in my late teens and early 20s). I’d prefer to snag them vintage because the shape is slightly different, but I’ve yet to find the perfect pair. I might have to settle for new.
Audette Bellatrix in Suede Camel Marron
I visited this brand’s shop on a recent trip to Mexico City and fell in love with this bag. The shape, the adjustable straps, the impeccable quality, the interesting colorways — the complete package. But I’m not a logo girl, so the front-and-center logo gave me serious pause. She’s still on my mind though… and I’m certainly keeping my eye on the future of Audette.
La Manso Dolphin Hair Clips
I’ve had a chin-length bob for years, but that won’t stop my daydreaming. I use the occasional claw clip in between haircuts, and these are so cute they might just convince me to keep my hair a couple inches longer.
Bodicia Lab Reversible Black Tank
This tank speaks to me because I’m partial to a high neckline, but every once in a while, I go to reach for a sexy option in my closet and it’s simply not there. This is the best of both worlds. It has only just occurred to me now that I should have this sent to my partner’s family in Australia for easier shipping. What have I been doing for two years not taking full advantage of my international shipping opportunities?
60s Plaid Armchair
I have an affinity for ugly 60s and 70s furniture and want my home to be filled with it. I’m especially a sucker for vintage upholstery and warm-toned plaid, and this chair ticks all the boxes. Too bad my cat would rip it to shreds.
